Usefulness of an SIC qualification Business, E-Business, IT, Hospitality and Tourism courses : Completion of a SIC Diploma will allow you to transfer to second year at an Australian university. It can also be viewed as an alternative to a Foundation Studies Certificate. If you choose not to go on to university, you will still receive your Diploma. English courses : Students who complete academic english courses (EAP and High School Preparation) to a satisfactory level are eligible for entry into Foundation courses offered by some of Sydney's finest universities, colleges or high schools. SIC's English course grades are also recognised by UNSW Foundation Year at the University of New South Wales as satisfying the English language requirements for automatic progression to their courses.
